Name:
Newton the Calf
Just a little guy with a future unknown; hoping that someone would give me a home. Not far from vegetables at a roadside stand; did I look like a turnip or tomatoes that would be canned? A lady thought better, and could see no good coming of this; so she purchased me; I came here, and I'm still growing - like this! We named this Holstein calf Newton as he was rescued in the town of the same name in NW Jersey. The man who owned Newton had mistakenly purchased him, a Holstein - and dairy - calf, when in fact, he'd meant to buy a beef calf. Who knows who might have taken him and what could have happened! But now he's safe and sound at Popcorn Park, and our hefty boy would sure love some more friends! |
