Emma, approximately 6 years old in March 2010 when initially rescued, was abandoned by her owner in the woods to starve along with another of his horses. They had no food, no shelter, and only a filthy pond for water. Through the kindness of a number of caring people, including an equine rescue, both horses found the placements they needed - Emma came to Popcorn Park. She was still extremely thin and needed medical attention for a number of parasites. Emma's biggest surprise was when she delivered a very unexpected foal - Sunshine - several weeks after her arrival. Emma is a very sweet girl and a wonderful mother who suffered a great deal before her ever-improving health with us. She would very much appreciate your being her sponsor.
