Name:
Henrietta Goose
Meghan and her teenage friends had been feeding the geese at a park in Nutley, helping them survive the winter. But a rash of violent attacks on the birds caused the girls to fear for the lives of the geese. One goose in particular, that they had named Henry and which only had one foot, seemed to be in even greater danger. Meghan's mother called the Society for help, and we promptly sent out a team to bring Henry to safety. Henry was very cooperative in his rescue, being quite used to the girls, and offered little resistance. The goose - who turned out to be a Henrietta, not a Henry, is now happily ensconced at Popcorn Park where she will receive all the care she needs and have a safe haven for the winter months.
