Name:
Baby Baa-aah the sheep
Baby Baa-aa-ah is a ewe with a very lucky past. She was rescued at only one day old from a slaughterhouse in Newark where goats and sheep were killed and sold. The facility was receiving an inspection by the NJ State SPCA at the time. Baby Baa-aa-ah was found on the slaughterhouse floor near death, her mom having already been taken away to be killed. When the lamb arrived, she was immediately taken to our Medical dept, where she was put on IV fluids and antibitoics to save her tiny life. Once she'd pulled through the worst, she was then cared for by the Newark office staff, bottle fed and cuddled, and at night and weekends, she got more of the same from the Asst Executive Director. Baby Ba-aa-ah was mothered by his German shepherd Sam as well. In time, she became a "big girl" and sadly, staff said good-bye to their sweet baby. Today Baby Ba-aa-ah is a beautiful sheep in Popcorn Park Zoo, happy in her own little flock of farm animals. Still, we think she appreciates all the love she received ... and might receive from you as her sponsor. Could you help this lucky little lamb? |
