Someone thought we'd be meat for your dinner plate; thank goodness someone else thought of a better fate!  The idea of emu stew just didn't sit right; we thought you'd rather sponsor us cute ratites!! For awhile there it seemed like the new trend was going to be emus raised for meat, but it didn't seem like quite the great idea it was initially pumped up to be. As a result we were contacted by a farmer who preferred to just let the birds live.
