Dante is one of our four tigers from Texas. Of the four, he and Gina had been destined for a canned hunt. Ther are so devoted, they are rarely far from each other. Both were raised in neglect in an east Texas facility, but found too costly to care for. They were then sold to a game ranch with only one goal - to be shot for trophies on someone's wall, and further neglected. The USFW was alerted to the plan and had them removed to another location where they were treated no better. USDA undertook a search until they found Popcorn Park. Dante, as were the other three, was severely neglected most of his life before his arrivel here. All four tigers now enjoy big compounds with waterfalls and pools. Should you visit, you will see Dante and Gina together. They chase each other in play, climbing on rocks and trees and enjoying their pool in the warmer weather.
