Once family 'pets', but too big we had grown; some walked the roads, but cars ran us down. Simple creatures, our heart's hidden 'neath our shell; just a little love, and in peace we now dwell.
Popcorn Park is home to a variety of smaller turtles, many sold illegally as pets, some taken from the woods as pets - none of these are appropriate for these fellows, who can often grow quite large in the proper environment.  They may have a hard exterior, but a soft heart of gold beats inside - if you sponsor our turtles, you'll make quite a splash of appreciation!
