Check out Kermit running with his new braces! 10/25/12
The Society received an alert from several animal lovers about a needy pup at the Humane Society of Greenwood South Carolina. Kermit was a young pup and originally found walking down a busy highway all alone. They advised that his front feet were deformed with rickets and he was infested with worms, underweight and anemic. For a while, it didn't seem as if he would survive. Thanks to their efforts, the bi-eyed beauty was cared for, given vaccines and de-wormed. He came to the Humane Society in Greenwood on August 17th. They needed help with Kermit who had been there since Aug. 17th.
They advised that Kermit is a sweet baby!! He is so loving and just wants to be held and given kisses. He loves other dogs and cats. He is now at the AHS/Popcorn Park where he is getting lots of t.l.c. by the staff. Arrangements are being made to send Kermit to an orthopedic specialist for an evaluation to see what, if any, corrective action needs to be taken.
In the meantime, it is only through your wonderful generosity through our Res-Q Fund that we can help Kermit and all of the orphans needing medical care who now will have it. Won't you please make a donation to help with Kermit's medical bills as well as others in need?
Kermit now waits for a medical update and a lifetime commitment of love. Popcorn Park is located at 1 Humane Way, off Lacey Road in Forked River -- off of Exit 74 (N and S) of the Garden State Parkway. The Society is open 7 days a week for your convenience. Stop in and meet Kermit or all of the rest of the dogs and cats awaiting adoption.
