Star Now Alone - Owner Killed in Afghanistan

When a young man adopted this pup, he had high hopes of a lifetime of mutual love and devotion. He called his pup Star and they both had lots of good times together. But when the Howell Township fella was called into service, he left his companion behind with the family. We see many videos of tearful reunions between service man and dog -- both ecstatic and joyful in their embrace.

Tragically, the service man was killed in Afghanistan . and the family has brought Star to the Society. Time has stopped for them . their hearts are broken . but we must be the comfort and consolation for Star who was waiting for an owner who promised to return. Star deserves no less than to have what his owner wanted for him - a lifetime of love.

Please make a donation today and help us to continue to keep our doors open for those animals in need.

Star is at the Society's Tinton Falls facility, located at 2960 Shafto Road - near the Route 33-34 Circle. The Society is open 7 days a week for your convenience.

UPDATE ON STAR - March 20 Star was recently adopted to a wonderful family; we thought he'd found his new happy ending. Sadly, the family's dog would not accept Star into the family, and he has been returned. He's looking for love and a new beginning - could this Star shine in your home? Please call the Society at 732-922-0100 and refer to File# 78227, or you can e-mail us. if your answer is yes.
