Van Gogh Update - Feb.25

We are so happy to announce that our big stroller has arrived, and our boy Vinnie loves it! Since Vinnie isn't really able to walk all that well just yet, due to the multiple injuries that he has on his legs, and also a hind leg fracture, we don't let this stop him from getting fresh air and checking things out. We are so very lucky to have a wonderful group of volunteers here at Popcorn Park that work very hard at our various fundraisers throughout the year. Some of the funds raised at these events goes into a special, "volunteer fund", which we use to purchase items for special needs animals, or buy equipment for our facility, or even send an animal for surgery when funds are low in the Res-Q Fund.

With Vinnie being in the condition that he is in, and still needing to get out and about, we thought a large pet stroller would be great for not only him, but for so many of our special needs animals that can't necessarily go for a walk, but would love to get out for some fresh air. We can now use this stroller for dogs like Chelsea, a beautiful dog that has arthritis from having her legs broken, and even our two beautiful blind cats, Brenda and Sharyn. We would like to thank our volunteers for their hard work and dedication, and for raising these funds that are helping our animals so much. Vinnie truly enjoyed his walk today in the new stroller, and we'll have a video of him strolling the grounds shortly. Here you see him getting some sun, and also getting some love by two of his "moms" (the ladies behind the laughter!). Thanks again to our volunteers!

Here he is folks .. Vinnie loving life in the new stroller that we bought for him and so many other special needs animals, thanks to our Volunteer Fund!
