We can't imagine the loneliness, hurt and heartache that this young lass has experienced. The emaciated dog was brought to the AHS Newark facility after a passerby said that someone slammed the dog to the ground and against the wall.
When she arrived, she was brought to the Medical Dept. for an examination and found to have an upper respiratory infection. "Calamity" stayed in our Medical Dept. for a month for continued care and thankfully she suffered no internal or physical injuries. What dog deserves that kind of treatment?
She is still a puppy and has had no formal obedience training. She is a sweet energetic and active lass who needs and deserves patience and lots of love. Throughout her ordeal, she has remained friendly and loving to people. Calamity is presently at Popcorn Park. For more information, call the Society at 609-693-1900 or e-mail us .
