Kashi made it through Day #1 and is doing well. This little girl is by far, not out of the woods yet, but our veterinary team is doing everything in their power to help Kashi pull through this awful ordeal she has been put through. Read Kashi's full story here. After Kashi returned from the emergency clinic, our veterinarian Dr. Baris got to work the next morning. Dr. Baris knew right away that Kashi was obstructed, so her and our Dr. Nalven spent the afternoon performing the very difficult procedure of removing over two feet of Kashi's intestine.

Kashi is now very comfortable and has gotten some spunk back. Thank goodness Dr. Baris and Dr. Nalven got to her in time …. another few hours and she may not have survived. Kashi is now on a medication regimen very similar to what Vinnie was on. She requires fluids for dehydration, antibiotics, pain medications, etc. and as of now, her condition is still very touch and go.

Please keep Kashi in your thoughts and prayers over these next few days. As always, we are so grateful to all of you for your support of us in helping these abandoned animals in need. We are only able to help these poor souls because of our generous donors who contribute to our Res-Q Fund. If you are able to make a donation to our fund to help us help others, you can make a contribution here. Thank you, and we will update again on Kashi when we know more.
Here is Kashi's next update.
