Nina - Follow-Up on Her Surgery



Nina Update: We are very happy to report that our beautiful lady Nina came through her surgery just fine, and she is now on the road to recovery. We would like to thank Dr. Steven Cudia for doing a fantastic job at repairing Nina's two ruptured ACL's and while he was in there, he also found a torn meniscus in one hind leg. No wonder this sweet little girl was crying non-stop when her family turned her in! She must have been in quite a bit of pain. Read Nina's original story when she was turned in by her family who was moving and couldn't take her along. They adopted her as a tiny puppy and now, she was right back where she started from.

Nina was transferred down to us at Popcorn Park and upon medical evaluation, our veterinarian Dr. Baris discovered that Nina had some serious orthopedic issues going on in her hind legs. Dr. Baris ran several tests which revealed the ruptured cruciates, and immediately scheduled surgery with Dr. Cudia.

It will take Nina some time to recuperate from this procedure and in about two weeks, Dr. Baris will reassess her condition. If her recovery continues to go well, then she will be available for adoption and would love to get a wonderful new home with a family that will never give up on her again.

We would again, like to thank Dr. Cudia for the fine work that he did in helping Nina, and we would also like to thank you, our generous supporters, that contribute to our Res-Q Fund. This is exactly what our fund was established for .. to help animals in need, like Nina. Would you like to help with Nina's surgery bills? If so, please make a donation to our Res-Q Fund.
