Van Gogh - Update - March 27

We really do work folks ... it may appear that we goof off with Vinnie all day, but we do actually get some work done when we aren't tending to the needs of Mr. Vinnie Van Gogh! Today Vinnie was in rare form. He decided to stop in to just about every office and room on his way back from his evening walk, and found quite a few more things to claim as his own. Obviously, we let him investigate everything that he feels like checking out. We know, we know ... we're spoiling him but really, doesn't he deserve it? After all our little buddy has been through, he deserves to have as much fun as he can possibly have!

Even after having major surgery a little over a week ago to remove the femoral head from one hip, Vinnie is still in great spirits and doesn't let anything stop him. He really amazes us every day with his strength and resilience, and also with his sense of humor. Vinnie knows how to get a laugh out of us, and he's really learning how to ham it up!

On a more serious note, he is healing quite well after his surgery and will have his sutures removed in a few days. After that, Vinnie can take his e-collar off and may even get to have his large room back. It all depends on the progress he has made. He is using that hip more and more every day and is getting much stronger. In a couple of weeks, Vinnie will have surgery on his other hip for the same thing. It saddens us that he has to go through this, but after having his hips broken, these surgeries must be done to ensure that he lives a full, healthy life.

We would like to thank all of you for your continued support of our Vinnie. The well wishes, gifts, donations and cards mean so very much. We're so grateful that so many of you have donated to our Res-Q Fund. This fund is what enabled us to bring young Vinnie back to life and get him well. We couldn't do it without you, and you can be there for Vinnie and so many others when you make a donation to our Res-Q Fund. To make a contribution to this fund, please click here:

We're sure Vinnie will be up to more silly antics soon, so please stay tuned for more from the Invincible Vinnie and again, thank you so much for caring.
