Van Gogh - Update - April 10

Our little pal Vinnie Van Gogh took us on quite a walk today! Vinnie decided to go off-roading to check out some territory that he hadn't seen yet, and we just follow along. But before Vinnie ventured out on his trek through the woods, he had to make his stop at the male cat yard. Vinnie and some of our friendly felines that are available for adoption have become quite good friends. Our male and female cat areas have outside yards, so when the weather is nice, our cats can head outside for some fresh air.

Vinnie is now in the routine of going straight to the cat yard, sitting himself down and socializing with our many beautiful kitties. The same group of cats usually come over to greet Vinnie and every day, another cat joins the Vinnie Fan Club. Vinnie is so gentle with them and the cats will stick their paws out to touch Vinnie, but never swat at him. It is a heartwarming sight to see, of beautiful, gentle creatures peacefully interacting with each other.

After Vinnie's visit with his feline friends, we went to take him for one of his many daily walks. Vinnie is getting to know our grounds pretty well and knows exactly where to take us but today, he wanted to explore some new territory. Since we are just so thrilled with the progress that Vinnie is making, we are happy to let him take a nice long walk and get some exercise for that hip.

Vinnie's hip is healing nicely and he is getting better every day with doing his exercises. He will undergo his next surgery in a week or so and then we start again, but we're confident that Vinnie will pull through this one like a little trooper, as he did the last one.

We are so grateful for the help that we have received to help offset Vinnie's medical expenses. Not only have our supporters been so generous in contributing to our Res-Q Fund, but we also received a grant today from the American Humane Association to help with Vinnie's mounting medical expenses, and we would like to thank them so very much! Every little bit helps, and is so greatly appreciated. If you would like to help the animals who are in need of this fund, please make a contribution to our ResQ-Fund.

Thank you all again for your support and generosity, and also for following our little guy Vinnie on his journey. Stay tuned for more from the Invincible Vinnie!
