Perhaps you may have seen this emaciated pup on NJ12 TV with newscaster John Klekamp.
The lifeless pup was found abandoned on the front porch of a Newark residence. Last evening, the Associated Humane Societies was called out to rescue the little pup. Our Animal Control Officer immediately brought the 6-8 week old pup to Fairfield Emergency Veterinary Hospital for life-saving measures.
"Rusty" was then brought to the Society's Newark Animal Care Center where he is presently under the care of Dr. Adriana Hordynsky. The young fella is emaciated and has additional health concerns with an upper respiratory condition. Rusty will go home with Dr. Adriana tonight for monitoring and continued care. He is presently getting intravenous fluid and our fingers are crossed for success.
Your donations to our Res-Q Fund will go to help Rusty and the many needy animals that come through our doors. Can you help and make a donation? In the meantime, Rusty will remain under our care.
