Van Gogh - Update - April 13

Our happy little guy Vinnie has really been enjoying himself for the last couple of days, especially with the nice weather we've been having. Vinnie got to take himself some nice long walks outside, stop by the cat yards and visit with the Feline Fan Club for Vinnie, and today, he even got to watch his new friend Harley work on some agility moves that he is learning. Vinnie happily frolicked (and snacked on!) in a pile of leaves, while Harley was hard at work learning some new moves. Another happy day in the life of Vinnie Van Gogh!

We've been making sure that Vinnie gets to really enjoy himself lately because he will be somewhat out of service for a few days. Vinnie will be having surgery shortly on his other hip, and we are hoping and praying that it will go as smoothly as his first operation went, and that this will be the last major procedure that our little pup will need. In case you missed any of Vinnie's story pertaining to his hip- he will be having the femoral head removed. He also needed this done with his other hip and had that done a few weeks ago. His recovery from the first surgery has gone very well and we're sure he'll recover from this one well too. Vinnie needs this done because both of his hips were broken when he suffered the horrible attack that he endured. If you missed anything and need to get caught up on Vinnie's story, just put Van Gogh in the Search box at left and you'll find all of Vinnie's stories from the very beginning.

A few weeks after Vinnie's surgery, we will start taking him for water therapy to get those hips moving and healing. This will all be a very long process and Vinnie has quite a way to go, but boy is this little guy strong. He will not let anything hold him back!

Of course we want to thank you all for following Vinnie along on his journey through all of this, and thank you all for your support, well wishes, donations and gifts. We could not have saved this little miracle without your help, and we are so incredibly grateful to all of you who have contributed to our Res-Q Fund. If you would like to help Vinnie and the other animals in need of help, please make a donation.

We would like to ask all of you to keep Vinnie in your thoughts and prayers as he undergoes his surgery on Monday. Thank you, and please stay tuned for more from the Invincible Vinnie.
