When Vinnie Van Gogh appeared on the April 2014 cover of the HUMANE NEWS, his story and picture went viral and he has amassed a wonderful group of friends and supporters.
The Society was contacted by Jane Dobrovolny who, with her sister Susan, have put their love and passion for animals by founding “Bracelets Benefitting Animals by Jane” in which homeless animals reap the benefit of the sale of these bracelets. Each bracelet is handcrafted in Maine of vintage and modern-day findings. Every bracelet contains one or more “tendrils” representing the teardrop of an animal in need of help.
For every bracelet sale, 65% of the proceeds go to animals in need. However, two bracelets on their website feature WISH and BELIEVE in honor of Vinnie.
When either of these are purchased, they result in 90% of sales going directly to Vinnie! What a generous offer. For more information, you can e-mail them.
The infectious love for Vinnie has resulted in the CS Boutique in Portland, Maine, owned by Nelly Hall, dedicating a section in her store displaying Vinnie’s story, see below, and also sells Jane’s bracelets. Nellie recent won a charity raffle and has donated her winnings to Vinnie.
Below are 2 more examples of the bracelets on Jane's wonderful site. Visit her website to see her whole collection where you can buy and benefit our animals, too.
