A Pair of Pekes Looking for A Home

Our little Peke pair, Jack and Mack, have become the best of friends over the last few months! These two little guys not only share something in common as far as their breed goes, but they also have in common the fact that they are both blind, and both have adjusted amazingly well to their condition. They also share one more thing .. they have been given up by their families, and are searching for wonderful new homes, where they will be loved forever.

Jack (on left) is about 6 years old and came to us in December 2013 from a New York City shelter where he was listed as, "to be destroyed". We got him out of there just in time and brought him straight to our medical department, where he began treatment for pneumonia and severe glaucoma that was neglected for many years. Sadly, Jack's eyes had to be removed because they were so far gone, but he felt like a brand new pup after his surgery and is doing just great now! He's got a clean bill of health is ready to be adopted.

Mack is also about 6 years old and came to us from our Newark facility in May of this year, after he was found dumped on a city street. Mack also suffers from glaucoma that was left untreated for many years. He is nearly blind, but he gets around so well and is just so happy to be safe and cared for these days. He would just love a great home of his own, with a family that will never dump him again.

Both Jack and Mack are well behaved, easy going, friendly, and so lovable. They get along fine with other well behaved dogs and just love people. Jack and Mack do not need to be adopted together, since they only met a couple of months ago, but if they did happen to find a family that would open their hearts and home to these two precious Pekes, that would be wonderful too! Please spread the word for our adorable little guys!

The Pekes are at Popcorn Park waiting for a lifetime of love. For more information, call Popcorn Park at 609-693-1900 or e-mail us. Popcorn Park is open 7 days a week. Stop in and meet them or the rest of the orphans waiting for adoption.
