Van Gogh - Update - July 22

Vinnie and his buddy Rebel had a little more spunk during their next play date, and we were glad for some cooler weather so the two of them could really ham it up together. Vinnie tends to be a bit on the lazy side during the heat wave we've been having hear in New Jersey, and the last few times that he went out for his video, he up for much playing.

Vinnie is doing great with his socialization skills now with other dogs. He and Rebel have a great time during their play dates and Vinnie now only needs to be told once to take it easy for him to stop being a bully, and start being the well behaved little gentleman that we know that he can be. He is still doing his training, and practices all he's learned during his time with Paul Pagano from Bark Busters on a daily basis. He still has a little trouble ignoring the peacock patrol that likes to escort him on his walks, but he's getting better and better every day.

Vinnie's health continues to be good and we're just thrilled with the progress he's made after his major hip surgeries. He still stumbles from time to time and we don't think he'll ever have the full strength that he should in his legs, but that's just Vinnie, and we're ok with that! He does his exercises on a daily basis and continues to get supplements for his joints and bones. He's even lost a little weight and has never felt better!

We're so grateful to all of you that continue to follow Vinnie along on his journey. Without the support of the thousands of people that cared enough to help our little guy, none of this would have been possible. If you are unfamiliar with Vinnie's story, and how he came to be in the state that he was in, just put Van Gogh in the Search Site box for all his posts. Feb. 4 was the beginning of his journey. We would also greatly appreciate your please making a donation to our Res-Q Fund , too -- that is the fund that we used to bring little Vinnie back to life, and the fund that we use constantly to help so many animals in need. Thank you all, and please stay tuned for more from the Invincible Vinnie!
