Samantha and Sasha - Need New Home Due to Loss

The AHS/Popcorn Park has a policy that we will accept any animals adopted from us that need to be returned.

Two of our most neediest returns occurred when a Popcorn Park volunteer passed away in an untimely accident. Now a special home is needed for these two very special young ladies.

Meet Sasha, a 4 1/2 year old Newfoundland, and Samantha, a 7 year old beagle. The girls were adopted from us a while ago and had such a wonderful home, but now here they are ….. broken hearted, and wondering when they'll be going home. Sasha and Samantha both came from similar backgrounds before they were adopted. They were both turned in by families that had little time to devote to them, and neglected their health and well being. They were both so happy to be adopted by our compassionate and loving volunteer and had such a great life with her. The girls have become the best of friends so we could never split them up. We will be looking for a home for them where they can stay together forever.

Both girls are very well behaved, friendly, and sociable. They get along well with other dogs, cats, and people of all ages. Sasha has cherry eyes, which is not a painful condition and does not require surgery. Samantha enjoys the snacks a little too much, and needs to lose a couple of pounds. Both girls are just super sweet and are hoping that someone will come along and fall in love with them both, and give them a great home, just like they used to have.

A donation will help us to keep our doors open for any needy animals that come our way.

The canine companions are at Popcorn Park. For more information, call 609-693-1900 or e-mail us and refer to File#23810 and 23811.

If you are reading this story on our AHS website, we know of your love for animals.

And while you are able to care for your pet now, as there is no doubt that your pet gets excellent treatment; food, water, exercise, shelter and love. But what is going to happen to your dearest friend when its your time and there is no one else to fill that void.

What better way to protect and honor your pet than to ensure care for the rest of its life, when you aren’t around?

The clear solution, a “Pet Trust.” This legal arrangement allows you to absolutely guaranty that your pet will be cared for by a custodian who you have chosen. A Pet Trust is a judicially recognized document that will provide for the care of your pet. The provisions of the Pet Trust describe your expectations and obligates the custodian to comply with those intentions.

These days not having a Will is ill-advised, as your hard earned assets and property can be taken by the government and that includes your pet. If your Will does not include provisions for your pet, then you should contact a lawyer who can quickly and inexpensively make certain that your pet will be protected. Any reputable shelter can give you more information or get you in touch with a professional who has experience with such unique situations.
