What a difference a few weeks make! You may remember the sad story of Marley, the English bulldog mix that was turned in to our AHS-Newark facility in late November because she had a skin infection and her owners could no longer care for her. Read Marleys original story here.
Poor Marley was such an itchy and scabby little lady. She took up residence in the medical department in Newark for a few weeks where she received lots of good care. While she's still not quite healed, Marley has made incredible progress! She was just transferred down to us at AHS/Popcorn Park and we're so happy to have this sweetheart here, to continue on her road to recovery.
Marley's problems started with a simple skin infection but left untreated for too long, the infection turned into a nightmare for this 4 year old lovebug. Marley's eyes, ears and paws were also terribly infected and she had scratched herself so much that she had bare and bloody patches throughout her body. She spent a few weeks under medical treatment in Newark where she received medical scrubs for her paws and face, and a variety of medications to help ease her discomfort and heal her infections. We've added medicated baths to her treatment and Marley is feeling so much better. In just a few weeks, this super sweet girl will be ready to meet potential families that can give her the great home that she deserves.
Thank you all for helping us to provide Marley with the healing care that she needed. Our Res-Q Fund is what enables us to provide the extensive medical treatment that so many animals need when they come to us for help. Our fund is constantly being depleted and always needs your help.
