Coatimundi Rescued Along with 25 Other Animals

Cocoa the Coatimundi and Jess the Civet Cat, pictured here, were the only two candidates for residency in Popcorn Park Zoo of the 25 animals accepted at our Forked River Animal Care Center. The other 23 animals were dogs of varying age, breed and physical condition. They were taken in and given needed medical care, groomed and prepared for adoption.

Cocoa and Jess were provided with spacious compounds which include lots of logs to run around on, good food and housing where they could feel secure.  Jess, pictured here, is a bit shy, but Cocoa is active and loves to run about.  Both Cocoa and Jess are now available for sponsorship on the Popcorn Park Wildlife Club.
