As we have advised in the past, using animals such as doves, butterflies, pigeons, etc., as part of a wedding is an abuse to animals who must suddenly face unfamiliar areas, and/or bad weather conditions and who must try and fend for themselves to find shelter, food and water.
But there's a great and humane way to generously celebrate your nuptials -- and that is by suggesting donations to Popcorn Park and/or the Associated Humane Societies. The I DO Foundation is a non-profit organization that will assist engaged couples to bring a charitable focus to their wedding planning and wedding day. The Foundation allows wedding-related purchases that generate donations for charity. These services are available free of cost. For more information, log on to the I DO Foundation web site.
