Kieka, was born on a small New Jersey farm. The owner noticed that a couple days after she was born she started having a problem getting up. Each day she got progressively worse. He brought her to our veterinary clinic at our main facility in Newark that she might get treatment, and surrendered her.
The vets never could determine exactly what had happened to her, but initial fluids and steroids did stop her downward slide. Then one of the vet techs started massages twice a day and miraculously she started to respond. Each week she made improvement, and after a month she was able to come down to Popcorn Park where her therapy was continued. Today Keika's doing great and walks with only a slight limp.

She always welcomes new friends, so you can sponsor our lovely Keika here!
