At 7 a.m. on January 16th, the Associated Humane Societies was notified by the Newark Police Dept. concerning a pit bull at 321 Seth Boyden Terrace in Newark. An ambulance was dispatched to the scene to rescue a female brindle/white pit bull, about 10 months old, that had been sodomized by a local resident. Two residents witnessed the situation but refused to get involved.

The Associated Humane Societies has posted a reward fund of $2,500 and the NJ SPCA has met the $2,500 and along with many others. -- a total of $12,000 is being offered for the arrest and conviction of bestiality by this unknown perpetrator. The dog has been taken to Garden State Veterinary Specialists in Tinton Falls for further evaluation and care.

Please help to defray some of the medical expenses, consider a contribution to the ResQ Fund or to our General Fund.
