We are still calling Kate's, (the name we have given this pup), condition `guarded'. She is up and walking around now, which is a positive sign; however, she is still having intestinal problems. Her doctors are ordering a special feeding diet, starting tomorrow, that will be taken intravenously until her intestinal tract is working properly. Her spirits seem a little better and during a visit from the Society director, there was definite tail wagging. To make sure that Kate is feeling secure and comfortable during her hospital stay, her caregivers at Garden State, as well as the Associated Humane Societies, have brought her blankets, pillows and toys.
The Reward has been increased and is now over $12,000.00. We are hoping that this will be an incentive for someone to come forth with information to help us with an arrest and conviction.
The outpouring of kindness, concern and generosity for Kate has been overwhelming and we are touched by all of the calls, e-mails and letters wishing Kate well.
We are all wishing Kate a full and speedy recovery so that she may enjoy the life she so deserves.
