The February 2007 issue of the Humane News, Volume 38, No.1, is now available for downloading. This issue features a number of outstanding rescues by the Asociated Humane Societies - a pit bull pup of 10 months who was sexually assaulted by a Newark resident, an emaciated pit bull from Pennsylvania in his final hours and a starving mastiff.. The Society's ResQFund has helped these dogs, plus two sweet cats,  each of whom needed surgery to be able to see (Murdock) and walk again (Serenity). Also read about how a Society orphan has now made it to the bright lights of the Broadway stage, and how more Georgia dogs, facing the gas chamber, have made it safely to our Forked River shelter and now await homes.
