The Holiday 2007 issue of the Humane News (click here) Vol. 38, No.5 is now available online for you to download and read!
The holiday season is upon us, and while people are busy going about their shopping and festive preparations, it's important to remember that not everyone shares that happiness. In fact, not everyone even has a home.

This holiday issue brings to your attention several animals that AHS has rescued that particularly need a loving home - Girlie, a blind dog, Storm, a young mastiff kept in a crate all the time and a puppy saved from a trash compactor. None are happy stories, but they are happy rescues and could have happy endings when the right homes step forward!. Also read about special dogs that DID get happy endings - Share-A-Pet Ben and Georgia rescues Mason and Dixon. Read about Melanie Bears made from our sheep's wool in memory of a devoted staff member; continued efforts to vest dogs through the Vested Interest Fund; two pit pups rescued from starvation; how to help our dogs by purchasing Kuranda beds; and many, many wonderful cats and dogs waiting to be adopted. Of course, there's news from all around the nation and the world on the plight and successes of animals of every kind plus news on kind and generous kids in our Junior section. This issue is packed! be sure to read it all!
