What does artwork by Peter Falk, belly dancers, wine tasting and helping animals in need all have in common? Participants and guests of our Night of Wine & Noses gala will surely find out.
The event will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. on Monday, September 15, at the Lacey Elks Lodge, Beach Boulevard, Forked River. All proceeds will go to AHS and be used to care and feed the thousands of sick, injured and rescued animals being cared for at Popcorn Park Zoo and our three shelters.
The evening will feature a wine and food tasting event, belly dancers, psychics, a silent auction and 50/50 raffles. Among the silent auction prizes are a lithograph of Peter Falk’s “Columbo” character. Also up for grabs is an overnight stay at the exclusive Rivers Edge Marina Bed & Breakfast in Forked River, photo above, an autographed print of the cartoon strip, “Mutts’” and an autographed copy of the book, “Broadway Tales,” by celebrity animal trainer Bill Berloni. A number of the dogs trained by Berloni for stage and screen have been adopted from the Society.
“We hold one gala fundraiser each year as a sort of “thank you” to our supporters. It’s also a great way to get others interested in our efforts,” said our Executive Director Roseann Trezza. “We’re very excited about this year’s event. It’s certainly not your everyday banquet. There’s a lot of fun in store”
