What's a Zumba?? – It's the latest Latin exercise craze and animal lovers can help support Associated Humane Societies and Popcorn Park Zoo at a Zumba Workout Extravaganza, at Echo Lake Park, beginning at 8:30 a.m., Saturday, September 20!! ((located by the 9/11 Memorial Site in Mountainside/Westfield, convenient to Route 22.)
Thanks to the generosity and efforts of Len Glassman, owner of Personal Best Fitness in Garwood, he has opened his heart and his client list to the needs of the animals at AHS and Popcorn Park. Len is also a Certified Personal Trainer.
Princess the Camel doesn't have the flexibility to Zumba at her Popcorn Park Zoo home. But personal fitness trainer Karen Megaro hopes that others will Zumba to help Princess and her zoo neighbors.
“We are grateful to Karen and the folks at Personal Best for putting together this fundraiser for Popcorn Park,” said Roseann Trezza, Executive Director of the Associated Humane Societies/Popcorn Park. “We depend on the generosity of our supporters throughout the state and around the country to protect these animals and give them a safe haven.”
Karen Megaro, Certified Personal Fitness trainer at Personal Best Fitness,will get participants dancing, burning calories and helping the hundreds of abused, neglected and unwanted animals who have been given a new lease on life at Popcorn Park Zoo in Lacey Township.
The class is free, but participants are asked to make a donation to the zoo when they come to the event or you can donate right here online. Registration begins at 8 a.m.
