Check out the October 2008 issue of the Humane News, Vol. 39, No.4, to read the many exciting rescue stories and news at AHS and Popcorn Park.

The first thing you'll notice is more color! That makes the HUMANE NEWS even more exciting as you can now see more animals in full color! Specially featured are dogs that AHS has taken under its wing from Hurricane Gustav; a pup that has healed miraculously in our hands after being abandoned with a horrific case of mange; and a Shepherd stolen 5 years ago and recently picked up as a stray. Also, new Share-A-Pet kitties have been added, each with their own sad story, but happy ending as they are now safe with us. We're hoping for a happier ending yet when you come to adopt them!
We've included lots of news on animals both locally and around the country and the world. Read about how legislation and changes are affecting your life and that of your pets and the planet. Also, check out someone special at Popcorn Park in a `before and after' feature - she's awfully cute! And don't forget those fabulous humane kids who are learning early how important it is to be kind. And now ... many of the dogs and cats awaiting adoption are in full color - so appealing! Don't miss it - take a read!
