She had the look of a wizened old lady -- her skin condition was left untreated and the mange had encompassed her whole body complete with secondary infections, bloody splotches, boils and erupted abscesses.

Found as a stray in Neptune and rescued by Society Animal Control Officer Kevin Rooney, he immediately contacted the Tinton Falls shelter to alert them to one of the worst cases he had seen. The same day, the pup was brought to our Newark facility for examination, treatment and to make her comfortable during her stay. Kudos to our veterinary staff for the efforts and dedication they put forth for the cases that arrive daily and require their continued care. It has been almost three months of care and now "Hope" was returned to our Tinton Falls shelter where she is now available for adoption.

It is only through your generosity in giving to the Res-Q Fund that we are able to sustain the efforts of long-term care or specialized veterinary services for the needy that come through our doors. If interested in adopting Hope, please contact us and refer to File TF-70775-F.
There are many other breeds available for adoption including Labrador Retrievers, Shepherds, Bull Mastiff, Beagles, Akita, Cocker Spaniel, Chihuahua, Shih Tzus, Toy Fox Terrier and more. All animals are spayed/neutered, have a 10 day medical guarantee, free collar, leash, tag, microchip and more!
