Katie and Mitch Horowitz of Furballs Pet Grooming bring a vanload of goodies for the animals.
Mitch and Katie Horowitz, owners of Furballs Pet Grooming, here, were so pleased with the outcome of an early spring fundraiser for Associated Humane Societies/Popcorn Park that they have decided to do it again…this time even bigger.
For the month of November, Furballs will collect much needed pet supplies, food and other items for AHS Animal Care Center in Lacey Township. Mitch and Katie will also donate half of the fees they take in for all their pet tooth brushing services.
"It’s our job as responsible pet owners to give back to the animals that need help,” Mitch Horowitz said. "Many of our clients have pets that they adopted from Associated Humane Societies. It is a wonderful organization that can always use our help. If we can do two fundraisers a year for this cause, we feel we are truly helping."
Earlier this year, Furballs donated about two truckloads of dog and cat food, kitten formula, leashes, collars, shampoo, dog and cat beds, kitty litter, litter boxes, fresh fruits and vegetables, rabbit and guinea pig food, cleaning supplies and more.
"Mitch and Katie Horowitz are our true guardian angels – they understand the unconditional services we provide neglected, abused and abandoned animals, and they want to help us in any way they can," said Roseann Trezza, Executive Director, Associated Humane Societies/Popcorn Park. "Even though times are tough, we can count on the folks at Furballs, their clients and their neighbors to pull through for us."
Anyone is invited to stop by Furballs at 340 Route 9 South, and make a donation. For directions or more information, call Furballs at 732-269-8220 or log on to www.furballsonline.com.
