Meet Pauline, a beautiful cockerpoo who had once been someone's beloved pet. But as she started to age, the 10 year old beauty was neglected. The pooch from Plainfield waited and waited for an owner who never returned. Her upbeat personality started to dwindle and she became morose. The mature maiden was sent to our Forked River facility for a medical work-up and give specialized attention to her. First, Pauline developed kennel cough, had dental disease and mammary masses -- all of which had to be addressed in a timely fashion.

Thanks to the donations to our much-used Res-Q Fund, Pauline was treated for all of her medical needs. A biopsy performed revealed that she has a slow-moving form of mammary cancer. Unfortunately, we do not know how long the tumor was there. Our medical efforts have made her as comfortable as possible but it is doubtful that many would want to take her into their heart and their home with a doubtful future.

She is a beautiful lass with a personality to match. If she does not find a comfortable and loving home, we will include her on the Share-A-Pet Program so that she can live in our home until she is ready to cross over the Rainbow Bridge.
