Lots of good news is on its way to you in our February 2013 issue of the Humane News. AHS/Popcorn Park has been actively involved in helping the victims of Hurricane Sandy, both animal and human, and we have lots of photos for you of how we have helped, and also how others have come forward from as far away as North Carolina and more locally in NJ and PA to get pet food and supplies to us for distribution to those in need.
Take a look!
There are plenty of dogs and cats that have benefited from rescue and treatment and now await loving homes and lots of love for Valentine's Day. Look for their stories throughout the issue and on the Share-A-Pet and adoption pages. Plus there are many Happy Endings for you to enjoy. There is also a lot of good news about progress made for animals - laws protecting them being enacted and enforced, people creating new products that don't harm animals and insure their health, plus we have also recently worked with the FBI and Newark police in a local cockfighting raid. And as always, you can find kids who make a difference and pitch in and help animals on our Junior Pages. There's still a lot of work to be done for animals, but you'll enjoy seeing progress on many fronts and how you can help, too.
