It is not unusual for someone to get rid of a Chevy when a newer, more appealing model comes along. But when the Chevy is a warm, loving devoted 8 year old dog that the gentleman had since he was 6 weeks old, it boggles the mind.
When his fiancee adopted an English Bulldog, they find the dog didn't fit in with their lifestyle any longer. And so Chevy was brought to Popcorn Park is looking for a fresh start in life.
Chevy is understandably upset to be uprooted from his home and now living in a shelter, but he is finding out quickly that he is in good hands and will receive lots of love and attention from us until he finds his forever home. Chevy is a bit shy upon meeting new people, but makes friends easily. He is very laid back and easy going, and is the perfect gentleman. Chevy has excellent manners, walks well on a leash, and is very mellow and sweet. He is the kind of wonderful dog that you would want laying on the couch next to you, with his warm head resting on your lap, being your friend and companion for life. Chevy gets along fine with other dogs and would do well with any loving family that would promise to care for him and love him forever. Please give Chevy the fresh start in life that he is so deserving of.

Your donation dollars helps us to make a difference in the life of every animal that comes through our doors. Sadly, a dog of Chevy's age could be considered unadoptable and would be euthanized. Chevy is at Popcorn Park, located at 1 Humane Way in Forked River, just off Exit 74 (South and North) of the Garden State Parkway.
