When employees of the Shrewsbury Animal Hospital in Tinton Falls arrived in the morning, they discovered a dog had been abandoned in a crate. It was one of the coldest days of the year and luckily, she could not have been out there for a very long time. Staffers brought her inside and called the Associated Humane Societies. While they waited for our arrival, the staff checked her out and offered her a can of food. She voraciously ate the entire can!
Animal Control Officer Kevin Rooney was dispatched to the Shrewsbury Animal Hospital and brought her back to the Society's shelter for further care and a check-up. The Lhasa mixture is abut 9 years old. She was very thin with extremely long nails and obviously in need of dental care.
Your donations give us the ability to ensure that all necessary care is given to the animals that come through our doors. She has been given the name "Honey" to go along with her sweet nature.
For more information on Honey, e-mail the Society or call the Society at 732-922-0100. The Society is located at 2960 Shafto Road in Tinton Falls near the Rt. 33-34 Circle. The Society is open 7 days a week for your convenience between noon and 4 p.m.
