Three pups, only 4 months old, were starved and then abandoned in the West New York Police Garage. Although a $1,000 reward was offered for any information for the arrest and conviction of their abuser or whoever abandoned them. They were too weak and too debilitated to have gotten in the garage on their own. The Society's ambulance was dispatched to the scene and they were brought to the Newark Medical Dept. where immediate efforts were taken to save them. One young pup never survived. It is hard to imagine why anyone would withhold food and loving care from these innocent little bodies who only want to give love and be loved. The two remaining pups are hoping that this holiday will be a special one for them and that they will be fortunate enough to find forever homes.
Thanks to the Society's Res-Q Fund, donors help to defray the costly care and veterinary attention required for these two pups as well as the thousands of sick, injured and abused strays that come through our doors. Won't you please contribute to our ResQ Fund today?
