Noland could be the poster child for our Res-Q Fund efforts and needs. The 1 year old Pug got hit by a car ... and the tire tracks could be seen across his back. The owner abdicated their responsibility and signed the male dog over to AHS.

He was immediately taken to an orthopedic specialist who said he would require surgery in two areas and the cost would be in the thousands. Noland was then taken to Dr. Russell Howe-Smith of Pet PT in Cherry HIll. The second specialist offered another alternative: cage rest for two months and then re-evaluate whatever action is necessary. Dr. Howe-Smith works with orthopedics and also water therapy.
There may be surgery and/or physical therapy -- but time will tell. In the meantime, donations are always needed for our Res-Q Fund. If you would like to make a donation specifically for Noland the Pug, please specify.
Noland is resting comfortably at the AHS Tinton Falls Medical Dept. where he will be for a few weeks ... and then be re-evaluated. For more information, call the Society at 732-922-0100 or e-mail us and refer to File 73440.
