When the Society's Animal Control Officer was patrolling in Barnegat, she spotted a beautiful Persian cat that looked quite neglected, outside in the cold temperatures that was matted and unkempt. The ACO advised the owner to take the cat into the house, have free access to food & warter and obtain grooming and vet care.

A short time later the ACO passed the house again on a cold day and there was the cat -- still outside and trembling from the cold, terribly matted and covered in dirt. The ACO brought the cat to Popcorn Park and it was obvious she was relieved to be in good hands and in a warm, loving environment. The veterinary team and staff got to work on cleaning her up, vetting her, giving her a good meal, warm blankets and lots of TLC. Even during the sad state she was in, Princess did not stop purring the whole time they were shaving away thick mats from her coat and removing the dirt, feces and urine from her tiny body.

Princess has settled in now and has enjoyed a full spa day She is a whole new kitty and happy to be well cared for as she should be. She welcomes the attention that everyone gives her. The beautiful Persian is about 10-11 years old and deserves a caring owner and a fresh start in life. Princess is calm, friendly, affectionate and very laid back. Please consider opening your heart and home to our precious Persian Princess who will never be left out in the cold again.
