A motorist advised the Associated Humane Societies that he saw a garbage bag on the side of Belmar Blvd. in Wall Township. Although the garbage was moving, it was tied shut. When he opened it, he found a dog that had been kept under horrific neglectful and abusive conditions.

He brought it to the AHS Tinton Falls facility where staff immediately started to shave down the coat of this pathetic dog's coat which had imprisoned him for an interminable length of time. As the coat was being shorn, it revealed sores, open wounds, urine scalding and more. We then sent the aging male dog to the emergency vet hospital for care.

The vet hospital advises that the dog has severe ear infections, skin infections and more. We call this aging gent "Sammy" and we can only hope that we will be able to see him through what must be his darkest hours and all that he had experienced in the past.
