The Associated Humane Societies was contacted by the Shrewsbury Police Dept. and Red Bank Animal Control regarding five little dogs that had been dumped in a park adjacent to a wooded area in Shrewsbury. They needed additional assistance to contain the terrified terriers. The AHS dispatched two Animal Control Officers to the scene to help in the capture.

Sadly, one terrier ran off into the woods and the Society is offering a $100.00 reward for anyone who can bring this little dog to the AHS Tinton Falls facility. If you spot the look-alike terrier who is probably as dirty and matted as these dogs were when they arrived, give us a call at 732-922-0100 or e-mail us .

The little terriers reeked of urine and they were obviously kept in small crates for long periods of time. If you know of anyone who abandoned these dogs, please call AHS or e-mail us at the above contacts.

The Society is offering a reward of $500 for arrest and conviction of the person(s) involved in the abandonment.
The terriers will be altered and then will be available for adoption.

The Society is always in dire need of funds to continue our work; won't you please make a donation and help? As you can see by the pictures,
each of the terriers received a spa day to rid them of matted, filthy hair and feces. All of the dogs were given necessary inoculations, de-worming and will be altered.
The Society is located at 2960 Shafto Road in Tinton Falls, near the Rt. 33-34 Circle. The Society is open 7 days a week for your convenience. Stop in and meet Wishbone, Goldilocks, Fuzzy and Dorothy.
