When a Society Animal Control Officer (ACO) was riding an ambulance through Newark's Weequahic Park, he was alerted by a few passersby that they witnessed a grey Cadillac dump two dogs out of the car.
The Shih Tzus, a male and female, were both horrifically matted and were extremely emaciated. The ACO quickly picked them up and brought them to the Newark's Medical Dept. for immediate care.
Within an hour, they were shaved down, cleaned up, given all necessary inoculations and de-worming. They are a female of about 2 years of age and a 1 year old male. We call them Daisy and Donald.

The Society is offering a $1,000.00 reward for any information leading to the arrest and conviction of the owner of the Grey Cadillac and the perpetrator of this abandonment.
Thanks to donations to the Society's Res-Q Fund, our non-profit, charitable organization is on the scene as needed.
