Quiet and Gentle, She Was Used for Bait

Newark Animal Control was contacted concerning the body of a pit bull terrier that was laying by the side of a building. A city ACO went to the scene and discovered the dog in question. After approaching it, the ACO discovered that the dog was curled up tightly just waiting to die. Several infected, swollen bite wounds in and around the face, neck and body indicate she was used as bait. The quiet, gentle dog was obviously not a fighter.

The young female pit bull was brought to the Society's Newark Medical Dept. where she is being kept to administer to her wounds. She is just about a year old, and it is a sad commentary that at such a tender age, she was so callously exploited and abused that she just curled up waiting to die. Now we (and you) have the opportunity to put her on the right track …. to show her that life is good, people are caring, and that a forever home is waiting right around the corner. File N-78231-F (Newark-Med)

Here's our girl in her after shot, nicely on the mend and looking for love.

Please contact us if you would like to give this young lady the love she deserves, mentioning the file number above. If you would like to help us give more animals like this abused pup a second chance, please make a contribution to support our efforts. Thank you.
