It is so rewarding to see that smile on Goldie's face after all she has endured. This stray buff Cocker Spaniel was grabbed by some delinquents and thrown into a fenced yard containing a resident Doberman who attacked her mercilessly. Her fate was uncertain for many weeks, but the plucky girl pulled through with some expert veterinary help, and her own will to live. Predictably, she wants NOTHING to do with other dogs now.
Goldie would love to be adopted by a spaniel loving adult family who promise to keep her safe and where she can be the only dog. Despite her ordeal, she remains an affectionate girl who is loving with people, and will trust a kind person to give her a belly rub. In fact, she just loves a little tender attention!
About 4 years old, Goldie is easy to walk, (but understandably prefers to stay safe indoors), playful and friendly. While she is physically healed, she needs time to overcome the emotional damage she suffered. Adult Cocker Spaniel fans are encouraged to meet Goldie to see if they are a compatible match. Please contact us if you could give Goldie the safe, loving, forever home she so needs and deserves. File# 76221-Newark.
