We all know that things are tough right now, but as tough as times may be, we have to be tougher. There is no shortage of animals coming to the Society in need of help. In fact, more are coming in than ever before, plus we are seeing increasing amounts of cruelty. It’s simply heartbreaking.

We’re not giving up. We’ve tightened our belt wherever we could without sacrificing any of the care the animals need and forging forward to continue helping them. Abandoned and abused animals need us … all of us … and helping their bruised and broken spirits and bodies is what we do.

At the same time, there are other needs throughout the Associated Humane Societies and Popcorn Park … even in a tight economy we need to raise the funds for these projects -- improvements in the quality of life for some of our animals, the ability to accept more animals when the need arises, replacement of life-saving equipment, and the need, in these troubled times, to educate children about kindness to animals.
