An adorable trusting terrier was adopted out to an Essex County family who had young children. Without proper supervision, the kids enjoyed tossing the pup around and they dropped her. Instead of investing in the care of the animal, the parents released her to the Society and will probably find another pup to adopt somewhere else.
The pup suffered a serious break to the rear leg which necessitated more than just a cast. The Society used the Res-Q Fund to hire an orthopedic veterinarian to operate on the youngster who is convalescing at the Society's Newark Medical Dept. Anyone who is interested in adopting an animal should understand the cost involved in a dog or cat for upkeep, care, food, veterinary expenses and unforeseen circumstances.

Meanwhile, our little Muffin is waiting to warm your heart with her sweet ways. Please contact us if you are interested in adopting her and mention her file number - File N-82709-F (Newark). Contributing to our Res-Q Fund is a great way to ensure that we can continue helping deserving dogs like Muffin get the specialized care they require in their time of need. Please donate today!
