TOMS RIVER – From handcrafted items to precious Lenox gifts, guests at the annual Associated Humane Societies/Popcorn Park ’s Chinese Auction on Saturday, October 17 will walk away with some great treasures, and the knowledge that they helped support the organization that cares for thousands of domestic, wild, exotic and farm animals.

The fundraiser, held each year by Associated Humane Societies/ Popcorn Park will be at the BPO Elks Lodge, Clifton Avenue and Washington Street, Toms River. Doors open at 5 p.m. and the auction begins at 7 p.m. Entrance fee is $10 at the door and food will be sold by the Elks.

“Each year our auction gets bigger and better, thanks to the generous donations of auction items and services by area businesses and individuals. Hopefully this year will be no exception,” said Roseann Trezza, Executive Director, Associated Humane Societies/Popcorn Park. “For a small fee, guests can come out, meet new friends, win some great gifts and help us help the animals that need us most.”

Among the items up for grabs are Lenox chickadee, hand-painted mailbox, cute holiday cookie jar, olive oil set and barbecue utensil set, but there’s plenty room for more.
