Animal Planet Host to Speak at AHS/Popcorn Park Benefit

FORKED RIVER, NJ – Dog owners can learn more about their pets’ behavior and help out Associated Humane Societies/Popcorn Park when Joel Silverman, host of Animal Planet’s `Good Dog U,` makes a special appearance, sponsored by Camp Bow Wow of Lacey, 7 p.m., September 16 at the Captain’s Inn, Lacey Road, here.

Admission to the presentation is free, but guests are asked to bring in items that will be donated to AHS/Popcorn Park. “

Once again, we are thrilled that Camp Bow Wow has graciously offered to help us collect much-needed items for our Animal Care Center right here in Forked River,” said Roseann Trezza, Executive Director, AHS/Popcorn Park. “This is truly a community partnership of neighbors helping neighbors.”

Silverman, who has performed and trained with various animals for some 35 years, will appear with his co-star, Foster, and will discuss his new book, `What Color is Your Dog?' During the one-hour discussion, Silverman will talk about his career as an animal trainer, answer questions about dog behavior and sign books. He and Foster will also do a training demonstration.
